Mary Ellen Trainor(1952-2015) was an American actress, known for her appearances in such films asRomancing the Stone(1984),The Goonies(1985),Die Hard(1988),Back to the Future Part II(1989), andForrest Gump(1994), as well as her role as Dr. Stephanie Woods (originally credited as "Police Psychiatrist") in all four films of theLethal Weaponfranchise. Four of her film appearances were directed byRobert Zemeckis, to whom she was married from 1980 to 2000. Trainor passed away in 2015, due to complications from pancreatic cancer.
