Maximilian Schell

Maximilian Schell(December 8, 1930 - February 1, 2014) was an Austrian-Swiss actor, director, and producer. He became internationally known for his role as the defense attorney inJudgment at Nuremberg(1961), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Schell often portrayed complex, morally ambiguous characters and worked in both Hollywood and European cinema. In addition to acting, he directed feature films and documentaries and was regarded as one of the most distinguished German-language actors of his era.
