Morris Ankrum(AKA Stephen Morris Nussbaum) (1896-1964) was a character actor who was familiar to television viewers for his appearances on nearly every major Western series on television in the 1950s and early 1960s. He was very familiar strapping a Peacemaker during his guest stints on such popular Western series asHave Gun - Will Travel,Wagon Train,Bat Masterson,Maverick,Gunsmoke,Rawhide,The RiflemanandBonanza. He was also known to sci fi/horror fans for appearing in such 1950s classics like Ray Harryhausen'sEarth vs. the Flying Saucers, Kronos,Beginning of the End(which was parodied on Mystery Science Theatre 3000), andThe Giant Claw.
