Richard Crenna (November 30, 1926 – January 17, 2003) was an American actor best known for his portrayal of Colonel Samuel Trautman in threeRambofilms. He would later parody this role in the filmHot Shots! Part Deux. He also appeared in such films asThe Sand Pebbles,Body Heat, andBreakheart Pass. He also served in the US Army during World War II, as a radioman during the Battle of the Bulge as well as in the Pacific Theater as a codebreaker.
