Chaim Topol, commonly credited as simplyTopol, (1935-2023) was an Israeli actor/writer/producer, most famous for portraying Tevye in various stage versions as well as the festure film adaptation ofFiddler on the Roof. He also appeared in such features asFlash Gordon(1980) and the 1981James BondfilmFor Your Eyes Only. He passed away in 2023 at the age of 87.
