SirChristopher George Rhodes(1914-1964) was an English film and television actor who was awarded theCroix de Guerreand the United StatesLegion of Meritfor his World War II service. He was 38 years old when he began his film career and specialized in military types for which he was ideally suited as Chris in Betrayed (1954), General Brauer in Ill Met by Moonlight (1957), a sergeant inDunkirk (1958)as well as a German artillery officer inThe Guns of Navarone(1961).
