Aleksandr Gavrilovich Abdulov(May 29, 1953 – January 3, 2008) was a prominent Soviet and Russian actor. His most notable roles are The Bear inAn Ordinary Miracle (Obyknovennoye chudo) (1978), Mitya inDon't Leave Your Lovers (S lyubimymi ne rasstavaytes)(1979), Jacob inFormula of Love (Formula lyubvi)(1984), Lancelot inKill the Dragon (Ubit drakona)(1988) and Nenashev inGenius(1991). In 1991 Abdulov was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia. He died of lung cancer in 2008, aged 54.
