David McCallum (1933-2023) was a Scottish-born actor whose acting career spanned over 50 years. Although he appeared in such feature films asThe Great EscapeandA Night to Remember, McCallum's most well known roles were on television, namely his portrayals of Illya Kuryakin in the spy seriesThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.and Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard for nearly 20 seasons of the CBS seriesNCIS. At one time he was married to the late actressJill Ireland(she left him forCharles Bronson). He passed away in September of 2023 at the age of 90.
