Kris Kristofferson

Kristoffer Kristofferson (June 22, 1936 – September 28, 2024) was an American country music singer, songwriter, and actor. He was a pioneer in the Outlaw Country movement in the early seventies, working with such legendary singers likeJohnny Cash, Janis Joplin, Waylon Jennings andWillie Nelson. A Rhodes Scholar he was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army in the early sixties (helicopter pilot and Ranger qualified). He left the Army in 1965 to pursue his career in music.
